python-polib software package provides Python library to parse and manage gettext catalogs, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-polib
python-polib is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-polib package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-polib *
You will get with python-polib package name, version, architecture and description in a table
